The Band:
I didn't really know them going in, but a lot of people I talked to knew them and liked them. So I didn't do much research because sometimes I like going in with a blank slate. They sound amazing and they have a lot of energy. I enjoyed their original stuff and I loved their covers. That's where it's nice to know the music so you can sing along. Playing Atlantic City and Rocky Top were great choices. I loved meeting the band afterwards, though Josiah never came out. The Kentuckian of the band is Brenna. She played banjo, fiddle, and backing vocals. It will be fun to see how her career goes.
The Venue:
First time at Bell Theater in Pineville. I have to say that's a really fun place. It's literally a movie theater where they removed a few rows up front and a few seats in the middle for sound equipment. The older I get the more I really enjoy having a seat and still being able to enjoy the concert. These cinema seats are so much better than the cramped up seats in an old opera house. Since it wasn't completely full I was able to get up and join the crowd near the stage when I wanted to. This is a great place for small concerts and it won't be my last time there.
