This album reminds me of some of the catchier alt-rock that came out in the mid-90s during the grunge movement. At the time, that was a welcome breath of fresh air during a period when you basically had a lot of downer records in both rock genres. Today that isn't the case, but this record takes me back to those times in a very welcome way.
I especially like “Final One.” I've even added it to our current-year playlist on RolnRock. It's not a perfect album, though. A few songs, while not complete misses, are skippable, but about 75% of the album is pretty damn good. That's why I'm rating this 4 out of 5 stars.
Everyone should check out Scott Frilot.
You can also buy this album directly from Scott for almost nothing. He's offering two of his CDs for around $15, so you really can't beat that.
